PIC Green Field DayPIC Green Field Day, April 17, 2010, Tatnall Square Park, 10am-2pm

Historic Macon Foundation believes that Preservation IS Conservation!  With that belief, we are hosting a huge Green Field Day at Tattnall Square Park (map) on April 17, 2010 from 10am to 2pm.  Vendors from across the region will have green products and services on display that can help make any home or lifestyle more energy efficient (and cheaper).  Some of the displays and demonstrations include:

  • Solar power
  • Solar hot water heating
  • Ultra-efficient appliances
  • Geo-thermal heat and cooling
  • Wind power
  • Recycled building materials
  • At-home composting
  • LEED certified architecture
  • Home energy audits
  • Window efficiency
  • Insulation
  • Efficient heating and cooling systems
  • Tours of efficient buildings
  • Bicycling
  • Hybrid and ultra-efficient automobiles

Historic Macon Foundation will have professional historic preservationists on-site to answer all of your questions about adapting these technologies to historic buildings.

Please view our informative brochure for more details.  Register online now to secure your vendor booth for the event.
