Historic Macon Foundation recognizes the best efforts in historic preservation across our community with our annual awards the first Tuesday in May at our Annual Meeting.  The Awards are presented by Trustee and Architect Charles Brittain who inherited the honor from the late Jordan Jelks.  Committee members serve anonymously but represent a wide range of experience and expertise in art, architecture and historic preservation.  The Awards recognize a great diversity of preservation efforts including unique places or experiences, building restoration, adaptive re-use, compatible in-fill of new buildings in historic districts, neighborhood revitalization, landscape design, pioneering spirit, you name it!  What do you appreciate about living in historic Macon?  Email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it so that we can consider it for an award in 2011.
