lead safe certification course
Chuck Griffith of T&C Safety Training Inst., LLC will lead a lead-safe certification training. Attendees will be Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) certified and Georgia compliant after going through the course.
Houses built before 1978 more than likely contain lead paint. According to the EPA, renovation, repair and painting activities such as sanding, cutting, and replacing windows, for example, can disturb lead paint and create lead dust and chips. A small amount of lead dust is enough to poison a child and be harmful to residents of a home. Contractors, painters, renovators, carpenters, handymen, and all others working on homes built before the federal government outlawed consumer use of lead-based paint in 1978 should become lead certified in order to safely work with lead-based paints.
