Historic Macon's summer interns, Elaine Sullivan and Sara Doll, researched Macon's industrial heritage and presented their findings at the Sidney Lanier Cottage in July. Historic Macon created and will publish a tour brochure using their research. Through the generosity of the Downtown Challenge fund of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, Historic Macon will print the brochure and host a tour unveiling on Saturday, March 11 from 10am to 1pm.

The trolley tour will begin and end at Macon Beer Company (345 Oglethorpe Street) and cover everything from Macon's rich railroad history to the old city jail. Tours depart at 10am, 11am, and 12pm. From 11am to 1pm, a reception will take place in the beer garden of Macon Beer Company. Historic Macon will provide complimentary refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages. Those who wish to try Macon Beer Company's beer can purchase brewery tasting and tour tickets from Macon Beer Company.

The tour and reception are free and open to the public! No reservations are required.
