Historic Macon Preservation Committee

Historic Macon's preservation committee meets the second Thursday of every month at 5:30pm at the Sidney Lanier Cottage (935 High Street). The committee is responsible for the following:

• Coordinates political advocacy activities
• Oversees national award-winning neighborhood revitalization program (currently working in Beall’s Hill)
• Acquires tax credits and gap financing for preservation projects
• Creates, approves and implements rehabilitation plans for historic properties
