Annual Flea Market
Historic Macon Foundation's Flea Market is the longest-running tradition in the organization's history. For nearly 40 years, Historic Macon volunteers have collected, sorted, and priced donations of household items as a fundraiser for Historic Macon's mission. In 2017, the Flea Market raised over $44,000 for Historic Macon and 93¢ of every dollar spent at the Flea Market went directly to HMF's coffers to fund rehabilitation projects.
The 2018 Flea Market will take place November 2-4! The weekend will begin with a Preview Party on Friday, November 2 starting at 6pm, followed by public sales on Saturday, November 3 from 8am to 3pm and Sunday, November 4 from 1pm to 5pm.
The events on Saturday and Sunday are free and open to the public.

calling all volunteers
The Flea Market's success is made possible by a dedicated corps of volunteers. Volunteers sort and shine items, pick up donations, and serve as cashiers, among many other duties. Collectively, Flea Market volunteers donated over 1,700 hours to the sale each year.
Flea Market Work Days
Throughout the year HMF receives donations to our annual Flea Market. Each week volunteers sort and shine the items as they come in. Join us at our Flea Market Warehouse located on 357 Oglethorpe Street. The warehouse is open every Wednesday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
For those that are unavailable during the weekdays but still want to be involved with our Flea Market (or if you just can't get enough), this is the option for you. The Brew Crew will meet monthly on Saturdays from 9:30 am - 11:30 am with the option of joining us for lunch and brews afterwards. This Autumn's Brew Crew will meet September 22nd and October 27th at our warehouse on 357 Oglethorpe Street.
Pick Up Crew
This is our biggest volunteer need. The Flea Market Pick Up Crew is our special team of volunteers that respond to donation calls. Picks are always at a different time. It helps to have a flexible schedule, a truck, and some muscle, but all that's really required is a willingness to serve!
If you think this is the crew for you, please contact Art Howard at 478-396-1549 and you'll be added to the call list.
If interested in volunteering, please email our Director of Engagement, Rachelle Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Historic Macon's offices 478-742-5084 ext. 105 to ensure that you stay up to date.
Donate your unwanted items to Historic Macon's Flea Market! Donations are tax-deductible and help us raise money to support our mission to revitalize our community by preserving architecture and sharing history. Historic Macon accepts all items except mattresses, electronics, and clothing (but we do accept accessories like purses).
Historic Macon also accepts donations of larger items such as cars, boats, motorcycles and other vehicles. All donations are tax deductible.
