Historic Macon's preservation committee meets the second Thursday of every month at 5:30pm at the HMF HQ (338 Poplar Street). The committee is responsible for the following:

• Coordinates political advocacy activities
• Oversees national award-winning neighborhood revitalization program(currently working in Beall’s Hill)
• Acquires tax credits and gap financing for preservation projects
• Creates, approves and implements rehabilitation plans for historic properties
